We're having a rainy week here. That's not so great for painting, but just think how beautifully green everything will be next week! And  our monthly Garden Party returns this Thursday, May 1st. Can't wait to see what's happening in your garden!

I love the beauty and simplicity of this spring inspired table from Simply Suzanne's at Home!

And Laurel from The North End Loft shared more pretty spring inspiration with her vintage farmhouse tin can vases - so sweet!

Katie from Upcycled Treasures shared her DIY garden bench and placemat pillows!

Megan and Rob from Our Pinteresting Family came up with a creative and beautiful laundry room beadboard drop ceiling!

Terry from Forever Decorating got a great deal on this china cabinet and gave it a beautiful French inspired makeover!

Terry wasn't even looking for a china cabinet, but turns out she had the perfect spot for it. I love when that happens!

This beautifully ornate French bed from Trois Petites Filles is absolutely dreamy! And Victoria  didn't just paint it, she added all those details with appliques!

Actually, her entire bedroom is pretty dreamy, don't you think?

How cute are these little succulents in peat pots from Aimee at Twigg Studios!

Well guess what, they are actually cupcakes!!!
AMAZING!

These Strawberry Sweet Rolls from Caramel Potatoes look like they would pretty much just melt in your mouth!

More strawberry goodness in the form of donuts from Scrapality!

And Bonnie from The Pin Junkie shared a copy-cat recipe for Starbuck's Passion Tea Lemonade. Now that looks like summer in a jar!

A Pretty Pair of Chairs

I have a pretty little chair makeover for you this time around.

I picked up this pair at an estate sale just before our early spring tag sale. I didn't have time to give them a makeover before the sale, so I decided to put a tag on them just in case someone wanted to take them home and enjoy their vintage goodness. But they didn't sell and I was fine with that. I was excited to give them a fresh new look!

I was surprised to find stripes lurking under the needlepoint covers.

 

The fabric and padding were in great shape, so I just added a layer of batting and some pretty new fabric. The batting was for softness and I wanted to be sure those stripes didn't show through my fabric.

 

The chairs were painted in Behr's Silky White mixed up with the homemade chalk paint recipe, lightly distressed and waxed.

And isn't that just the cutest fabric?

Sweet little birdies!

I love the fresh new look!

We'll see if they sell this time around. Our spring sale is just three weeks away!
