And just in case you didn't have your fill of peeps, I have a few more to share with you!
On Saturday, the kids and I headed to downtown Westminster to check out the 6th annual Peep Show. It's free, family friendly and fun for all ages. Yes, my kids are all grown up and we loved the peeps!
The Peep Show is sponsored by our local Arts Council and features marshmallow masterpieces created by local artists, families, businesses and
community groups. Many of the entries are for sale and you can purchase chips to vote for your favorites. The winners even get peep trophies!
Let's check it out .....
You can read all sorts of fun facts about peeps along the way.
All the entries are labeled with clever titles, like "Peepscription"!
The little containers next to the entries are for the votes.
This entry has moving parts!
Dancing With The Peeps,
complete with costumes!
The details on this one are amazing!
The peep players have names on their uniforms and cute little helmets!
The peeps have a new Pope!
Even peeps need to protect their eyes!
No matter where you stand on the issue, this one is pretty darn clever!
"Same Peep Marriage"
And check out the Peeper Bowl, complete with a blackout!
The Sweet 16 brackets, complete with team peep mascots!
Camping with my Peeps - so cute!
Peep-A Potty!
And My Little Peep Pony!
This really is one big bird!
He even brought along his friend Oscar, complete with trash!
So there you have it, a quick tour of the Peep Show! How much fun was that! People are so creative, but you already know that!
If you live in the Westminster area, you really need to check out the peeps in person. The show runs through April 7th. And there are many more entries to see! All the details are available at the Carroll County Arts Council website.
And if your are looking for a unique fund-raising idea, you might consider organizing a Peep Show in your community next year! Or maybe just turn your kids Easter candy into a creative art project - fun and healthy!
