We're really lucky to have such a wonderful organization in our community. Over the holidays, I took you on a tour of The Festival of Wreaths, the biggest event of the arts council each year. The girls here at Elizabeth & Co. participated and we even won an award! The Carroll County Arts Council was started in 1969 by a group of volunteers seeking to make art a part of everyday life here in our community. They are housed in this amazing renovated 1937 movie theatre. There is always something exciting going on here!
This was the 4th annual Peep Show featuring marshmallow masterpieces created by local artists, families, businesses and community groups. Many of the entries were available for sale and you could also purchase chips to vote for your favorites and of course prizes were awarded. So let's check it out!
We live in the Baltimore area, so Todd "Peap" was very popular this year!
I'm surprised I haven't seen a lampshade like this in the blog world.
Ernie's is an establishment located directly across from the Arts Council. If you're a local, you'll get this one titled Friday Night on Main Street. It's not as scary as it looks!
There were several entries with Angry Birds. My husband kept asking me what was up with the angry birds. I'll be honest, I had to google it when I got home to find out what all the fuss was about.
Yes, Justin "Peepers" was very popular.
Again, check out the details!
So there you have it, a tour of The Peep Show! And this was just a sample of the fabulous entries. There were several hundred! Maybe you'll be inspired to create some marshmallow madness from all the peeps you find in your Easter basket! What about a fun family activity after Easter dinner? Or perhaps you could create a special peep dessert! These peep smores from Eclectic Recipes really caught my eye. What a yummy way to eat a peep!
Did you know that the family-owned Just Born Candy Company created the first peep in 1953 in Bethlehem, PA? They now produce enough peeps every year to circle the earth twice. Of course they have a website filled with all sorts of peep history, fun facts, trivia, recipes and more.

Bet you've never seen dancing peeps before.

Sharon~ That is hysterical! Love all the different "takes" on Peeps! I'll bet the "sand" was brown sugar? Amazing and now I guess I will ahve to google Angry birds too! Hugs- Diana
That is too funny! I can't believe all the wonderful ideas!
too funny, that country dance hall had to take some time to make.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I love them all. I had to look up the Angry Birds too!
I love this idea and might have to plan something like this with my family. There is a big discussion and division about fresh Peeps, stale Peeps or no Peeps at all. I'm a fresh and stale Peeps person but I have a sister who is most definitly a stale Peep person, the staler the better.
We have been know to buy Peeps, open the package and give them or bring them out weeks later.
OMG, I've never seen so many creative ways of using Peeps before! I love Peeps and love this post!
Have a great day.

That is so darn cute. There's just something wrong about the Kentucky fried peeps though. I can't believe how much detail some of the people went into to make their peep show.
