Welcome back for our August Garden Party!
One of the delights of mid-summer is that the vegetable garden is really starting to overflow. If you stop by for a visit, be prepared to go home with some veggies. Funny how it all starts out so calm and under control ...
but the next thing you know, it's totally out of control. And seriously, I don't think I can eat another green bean or tomato!
And clearly, the gourds and pumpkins are just totally taking over!
I have idea where they are headed next!
So that is what's happening in my garden. Now let's check out some features from our July Garden Party ...
You probably already know that I have a crush on this sweet yellow cottage over at The North End Loft!
Earlier in the summer, I shared the story of how Laurel's yard completely changed when a large tree was removed and her beautiful shady oasis was completely changed. Well Laurel went right to work learning how to make the most of her new situation. She did her homework on what would be appropriate for the size and conditions in her yard - so smart! And her lovely transformation is now well under way!
It's going to be a delight to watch this garden grow and mature over time!
If you drop by Cherry's in the Garden and More, you just might find a few beautiful new additions to add to you garden list!
Thanks so
much to everyone you shared their garden inspiration with us in
July!
Now on to this
month's party. I'm not big on party rules, so let's keep it
simple..
*Link
up any outdoor/garden related projects you'd like to share - what's growing in
your yard or garden, patio gardens, landscaping ideas, garden furniture or décor
and of course we love porches, patios and garden parties!
*A link back would be appreciated, especially if
you'd like to be considered for a feature.
*We'll start a new party on the second weekend
of the month. Feel free to link up as
often as you like. And it's okay to link up the same project to our Garden Party
and our Be Inspired Party held every Tuesday.
I can't wait to see what's happening in your
outdoor space!

Sharon I am so jealous of that beautiful garden of your! Those tomatoes look incredible...I love to eat them right off the vine. The aroma they give off before you bite into them is one my favorite things about summer. I wish I lived closer to stop by...I would love nothing more than to take some of those gorgeous veggies home with me!
Enjoy!
XO Barbara
your garden looks AMAZING!!! we have had green beans, yardlong beans, cherry tomatoes, and some squash and zucchini so far.... i would LOVE beets and carrots but we didn't grow any. next year!
WOW !! You make us all evious.:):) Beautiful veggies and flowers. xoxo,Susie
how sad is MY yard! August is not prime growing season around these parts. I was out watering today... some are beyond help. The "flower bed" is hanging in there... but even it was a little wilty today.
such beautiful pictures... so envious.

Sharon your vegetable garden is incredible. I'm so jealous, you must have the greenest thumb around :)
And these are such pretty features I especially enjoyed seeing the transformation of Laurels yard.
I love your garden! Love fresh tomatoes right out of the garden!~~Angela
Wow, Sharon! That is some vegetable garden! Yum! The weather has been so terrible here, that we are still waiting for either one of our two tomatoes to turn orange! ;) What's your secret?
Sharon,
You have a green thumb! Oh my, I can smell the tomatoes and taste them right now! My Father In Law loves a good tomato sandwich-he would be in heaven!
Warm Hugs,
Jemma
Sharon, your vegetables look delicious. Isn't it amazing how "quick" these veggies grow!
Hi Sharon! It was such a fun surprise to see my yard featured on this month's party with such gorgeous company! Wow! Thank you so much! I have to tell you I just started giggling when I saw the bounty of your vegetable garden. You have one of the greenest thumbs I've ever seen! As always, thanks for being the inspiration behind my garden and for hosting your summer garden parties. Enjoy the rest of your week!
Sharon, your gardens are terrific. Do you do any canning? When I was young we canned EVERYTHING. Your veggies are great looking and I bet they were so good. I know what you mean about pumpkins. My one plant took over the entire garden and I had 2 big pumpkins in there - I didn't see but only one.
I am your newest follower, stop by and see my flowers.
Have a great weekend.
Mary
