Seven Random Things About Megan

A huge thank you to Tanya over at Twelve-O-Eight for passing along The Versatile Blogger Award to us.

If you haven't met Tanya yet, here's a peek at a few of her fabulous projects ...

Thanks so much to Tanya for thinking of us and for being a regular at our Be Inspired link party each week. We love our bloggy friends! ... Be sure to stop by Twelve-O-Eight and say hello!

We've received The Versatile Blogger Award a few times before and I love getting the girls to join in the fun and share a little about themselves. If you've been here before, you've probably met my daughter Megan. She is my computer guru, crafting and painting side-kick, fashion and decorating consultant and all around partner-in-crime. I've said it before, there would be no blog without Megan.

Here are seven things blog readers don't know about Megan...

1. I'm an English teacher, and I love to read. I try to read a little bit every day. Right now on my bedside table is The Marriage Plot by Jeffrey Eugenides and Unfamiliar Fishes by Sarah Vowell.
2. I know way more about baseball than you would expect. I married a man who is a dedicated, talented college baseball coach, and he loves sharing the game with me. I remember once sitting in a country diner while he demonstrated different pitching grips and spins using jelly packets.

3.When my husband and I first met, one of the first things we talked about were the bands we liked. Now we've been able to decorate our apartment with posters from our favorite bands: Wilco, the National, the Hold Steady, and Califone.

4. I have lived in 11 dorms/houses/apartments in the past 12 years between college, grad school, and starting to work. I've lived in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Kentucky. I thank my parents for all the times they have helped me move, and I hope to not do it again for quite some time!

5. My husband and I took an unusual honeymoon - we skipped the beach and went north to Vermont. I had learned to snowboard during grad school, and my husband was learning for the first time. He only lasted about an hour before he realized snowboarding was not his thing. We spent the rest of the week snowshoeing and exploring the beautiful, quaint towns.

6. When I graduated high school, I said I was never coming back to my hometown. 12 years later, guess where I'm working...in my hometown! But I don't live there - you have to draw the line somewhere. It's actually been great being back in the area and close to my family.

7. In April 2011, I flew in from Kentucky to come to the Elizabeth & Co. spring sale, and I've made it to every sale since. Hope to see you all for the summer sale in just a few weeks!

Thanks for playing along Megan! You are a sweetheart and I love sharing the Elizabeth & Co. experience with you!
