This one was in great shape. I just gave her an overall light sanding with a sanding sponge.
She had a bit of red in her, so I ended up doing a third coat of chalk paint.
The reflections in the glass doors made her really hard to photograph!
I love the scale of this piece. She would look lovely in almost any room. You know that china cabinets aren't just for china. I have one in my bathroom!
And that molding is just gorgeous!
I thought all white was a little boring, so I mixed some Paris Grey and Louis Blue together for the inside of the cabinet. Mixing your own colors is fun and a great way to use up the last bits of paint in a can!

Oh it's gorgeous!!! Gorgeous!
I love it! It gives me a vision of what mine will look like when I'm done. I using the pure white though.
That cabinet looks great! Why can't I find great stuff like that at GW!
This is a lovely piece! I always like the look of a contrasting interior, too.
So pretty! I love the color on the inside. It was just the right touch!
that is so beautiful, sharon! i love the colors, and the distressing is seriously perfection!
I'm liking it, Sharon. I really like that you painted right over the hardware! She is just lovely! xoDiana
beautiful! You are making me want to go try some chalk paint! Fabulous!
It is just classically beautiful! I love the distressing, too!
I love the way you painted the hardware. White is always my favorite!
She is pretty! I would have snatched that up too! The contrast inside is a great idea!
It's SO lovely...and just the right amount of distressing! I did three wall units in white with blue interiors too, LOVE the combination!

Nice Find! And she's beautiful now!
I like how it turned out.... your posts really inspire me to look at the furniture at the thrift stores a little more closely! Some of the pieces that get passed by would be beauties with a bit of paint!

PS I like that you painted the inside a different color too :)
She looks fabulous. I love the crown moulding around the top and the simple glass doors. Great colour and great distressing.
I love this project, and I love the finished product. Nothing like white paint to spruce something up. I just put a china cabinet on my back porch and painted it with homemade chalk paint in a similar fashion. I am a new follower.
What a gorgeous piece! Love the contrasting colors on the inside.

It looks amazing, Sharon! I love how you went over the hardware with the paint, and the distressing is perfect. What a great piece!
O, wow! It's so pretty, and that gray blue interior just tops it all off. I think it would look great almost everywhere, too. Mostly, it would look great in my house. :)
Wow, you did a lovely job. The cabinet looks absolutely wonderful, I'd love to have it in my home, for sure! Jen @ www.icantstopcrafting.blogspot.com
Looks awesome! I like your idea of using it in another room rather than a dining room :)
Perfect! You always know exactly what to do with a piece to make it amazing. Great job!
That turned out amazing!

gorgeous piece! i love the simplicity of it but it still has pizazz. well done!
What a treasure! Sheesh...why doesn't my local Goodwill ever get any diamonds-in-the-rough as nice as that?
Great piece! I have a similiar china cabinet in my sewing/laundry room. I keep fabric and misc items stored in there. Mine, however was bought new at K-Mart several years ago. It was a Martha Steward line and I love it!!

I love it! I'd want to fill it up with books and treasures in front of the books. I've had my eye on things like that around here but they're always a little too tall or a little too wide. So the search goes on!
So pretty. I love your China cabinet. It's looking beautiful after painting. Great job.
