And if this green looks familiar. It's the same Antibes Green chalk paint that I used on this sweet little dresser.
But this one did not start out so sweet.
With many layers of paint.
But when I saw the underlying green, I decided that green was the way to go again. Sometimes it's fun to bring a piece back to it's former color, only better!
The drawers had great curves, but needed major repair work - not much fun at all.
But finally, it was time to break out the paint. I used two coats of the Antibes Green, distressed to bring out some of the former brown and green, then used Valspar's Mocha Glaze. The glaze worked nicely over the chalk paint and really toned down the brightness. I finished up with Fiddes & Sons clear wax and chocolate brown knobs. Now this one is looking sweet again too!

And there you have it, still going green!
And if you live in the area, you can check this one out in person at our next vintage tag sale on Saturday, July 23rd from 9am to 3pm. Elizabeth & Co. is located at 438 East Main Street, Westminster, MD 21157. Karla has already announced that she will be wearing a green dress. I bet you're not the least bit surprised!

What a beautiful transformation! And I think green rather suits you! :) I know I said I would reveal some green at my party this week but a power outage got in the way. Hopefully tonight I can share my green project!
